This permanent role requires candidates with a relevant degree or AAT Level 4, alongside strong MS Excel skills. Qualifications

Job description

We have a great opportunity for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join our fast-paced and friendly Finance Department on a permanent basis. This role would suit a candidate with a relevant degree or AAT level 4, plus experience already gained in a similar role.

Your key responsibilities will include supporting the month-end closing process through posting journals, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and other financial control activities. You will also support external interim and annual audits. You’ll collaborate with finance colleagues and other departments, providing a flexible approach in responding to queries from both external and internal customers.

ARAG offers support for the successful candidate’s professional training as well as ongoing development within the role.

We are keen to hear from candidates with strong MS Excel skills. You should have a keen eye for detail, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. You will be naturally proactive and curious about finding solutions. Additionally, you should demonstrate:

  1. Degree in a relevant subject or AAT Level 4
  2. Excellent organisational skills
  3. Good numeracy and literacy skills
  4. Experience of SAP (advantageous)

Working as part of a highly experienced and supportive Finance Department, we will provide support and coaching for those eager to develop their skills and experience.
