Job summary

AC Hotel by Marriott Glasgow is seeking an Assistant F&B Manager to lead events and day-to-day F&B operations within Hazel restaurant and The Collector’s Hall. You will work with clients, vendors and internal teams to create memorable experiences for weddings and corporate events.

The role requires strong organisational and communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends in a fast-paced environment. Join a creative, guest-focused team.

Qualifications

• Experience in events, hospitality, or wedding operations (preferred).
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Attention to detail and creative problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute weddings and events with attention to detail.
• Support F&B Manager with timelines, schedules and logistics.
• Liaise with clients, vendors and suppliers to confirm arrangements.
• Oversee event setup and breakdown to high quality standards.
• Deliver outstanding customer service before, during and after events.
• Handle last-minute changes with professionalism and a calm head.
• Assist with rotas, meetings, stock management and revenue tracking.
• Support F&B Manager in day-to-day operations of Hazel restaurant, bar and dining areas.
• Supervise front-of-house teams to ensure consistent, high-quality service.
