Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking an Assistant Estimator to join our pre-construction team in Leicester. You will support bid management, estimating and pricing across typical procurement routes including single and two-stage tendering, design & build, frameworks and negotiated tenders.

The role requires proven tendering experience on infrastructure projects, driving cost planning, quantity takeoffs and pricing with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of preparing tenders for infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Cost planning and analytical estimating.
• Measuring and taking off quantities from drawings (Bluebeam).
• Prepare bill of quantities and pricing documentation.
• Prepare and issue sub-contract and material enquiries.
• Specification analysis and review.
• Review enquiry returns for compliance.
• Assemble pricing elements to form tender sums.
• Assist in tender preparation for adjudication/meetings.
• Commercial review of opportunities and tender documents.
• Develop supply chain and supplier relations to optimise commercial position.
