Job summary

Galliford Try invites applications for an Assistant Estimator to join our Digital Infrastructure team in Leicestershire. You will assist with bid management, estimating and pricing across varying procurement routes including Single/Two Stage Tendering, D&B, Frameworks and Negotiated Tenders.

The role requires experience in preparing tenders for infrastructure projects, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing tenders for small/medium infrastructure projects
• Able to work with a main contractor
• Clean driving licence preferred

Responsibilities

• Cost planning and analytical/1st principles estimating
• Measuring and taking off quantities from drawings (electronic)
• Preparing bill of quantities and pricing documentation
• Raising sub-contractor and materials enquiries
• Specification analysis and review
• Reviewing enquiry returns and check compliance
• Compiling pricing elements to form tender sums
• Assisting in tender adjudication/settlement meetings
• Commercial review of opportunities and tender documents
• Developing supply chain and supplier relations to optimise commercial position
