Job summary

Leicestershire Educational Psychology Service (LEPS) is seeking an Assistant Educational Psychologist to join a growing team at County Hall, Glenfield. You will assist with planning, delivering and evaluating educational psychology services across schools and settings, under supervision from a qualified EP.

You will contribute to training, project work, and partnership work with schools and local agencies, supporting inclusivity, SEND compliance and safeguarding while developing your practice

Qualifications

  • Honours degree in Psychology (2:1 or above) and GBC are required.
  • Experience with children and young people in educational settings is desirable.
  • Understanding of SEND and safeguarding legislation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with development, planning and delivery of Educational Psychology services in Leicestershire.
  • Plan and deliver training and project work, including materials, evaluation and reports.
  • Undertake supervised delivery of Educational Psychology services in schools.
  • Prepare written feedback and information related to children and young people under supervision.
  • Work with schools and agencies to support inclusive practice and belonging.
  • Engage in training, CPD and professional supervision.
  • Follow legislative requirements and Code of Practice related to SEND and safeguarding.
  • Support the Directorate’s goals and participate in team activities.
