Job summary

Hartlepool Borough Council's Educational Psychology Team invites applications for a Maingrade Educational Psychologist to join our dynamic service. The post offers hybrid working patterns and opportunities to support children and young people across schools and settings.

We are a collaborative team of EPs with established SLAs across the borough, delivering plan-do-review interventions and specialist support for inclusion and wellbeing. DBS checks are required.

Band: Soulbury Scale A Points 1-6 (Plus up to 3 SPA Points)

We are delighted to be able to advertise for a Maingrade EP to join our thriving, dynamic team.

We currently have a team of 11 EPs (9.2 FTE) plus 2 TEPs, an Early Years Inclusion Coordinator, 4 Assistant Psychologists and a Small Steps team (EY and complex needs).Evaluation is consistently very positive and the team are highly valued by the Local Authority.

We have well established SLAs with almost every school in the borough, many of whom buy a session a week.Such regularity of input lends itself to our plan-do-review model of service delivery, with consultation and assessment leading to meaningful intervention over time.In addition, this leads to opportunities for creative and varied work at the individual, group and whole school level.

We work hard to promote positive relationships and support wellbeing for all.This is established through a hybrid working pattern that brings flexibility and life/work balance alongside all the positives of being closely connected and a sense of belonging within a positive team.
