Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking an Assistant Educational Psychologist to join LEPS. You will support development and delivery of EP services for children and families, including training and project work, under supervision.

The role requires an Honours Psychology degree with GBC, relevant experience with children, and strong collaboration with schools and partners. A driving licence is needed for county-wide visits; enhanced DBS is required.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Psychology with GBC (2:1 or higher).
• Ability to work with children and young people and families.
• Good communication and collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development, planning and delivery of Educational Psychology services.
• Plan and deliver training and project work, including materials, evaluation and reports.
• Undertake supervised delivery of Educational Psychology services in schools with a Qualified EP.
• Prepare written feedback about children and young people under supervision.
• Work with schools and agencies to support inclusive practice.
• Engage in training, CPD and professional supervision.
• Follow safeguarding and SEND legislation relevant to Educational Psychology.
