Aldwych Consulting Ltd in Cambridge is seeking an Assistant Civil Engineer to join our growing civil engineering and transport planning team. The role focuses on highways, drainage and infrastructure design across a varied portfolio.

You will work alongside experienced engineers from initial design through delivery, taking on increasing responsibility, developing client relationships and progressing toward ICE accreditation within a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualificações

• HND, BEng, MEng, MSc or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years' consultancy experience in Civil Engineering.
• Experience in highways, drainage and infrastructure design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, or equivalent 3D design software.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, able to work independently and in a team.
• Interest in ICE professional accreditation.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in the design of highways, drainage and infrastructure schemes.
• Work on S278/S38 highways designs and drainage strategies.
• Produce high-quality technical drawings and design packages.
• Apply design standards including MfS, DMRB and SuDS guidance.
• Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other software to develop design solutions.
• Liaise with clients, developers, architects and local authorities.
• Support project coordination and ensure designs meet technical requirements.
• Contribute to client relationships and business development activities.

The Opportunity

An established, award-winning civil engineering and transport planning consultancy is looking to appoint an Assistant Civil Engineer to join its growing Cambridge team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with at least 2 years' consultancy experience to develop their technical skills across a varied portfolio of development and infrastructure projects, covering highways, drainage and wider infrastructure design.

You'll work alongside experienced engineers, gaining exposure to projects from initial design through to delivery, with opportunities to take on responsibility, develop client relationships and progress towards ICE professional accreditation.

The Role

• Supporting the design of highways, drainage and infrastructure schemes
• Working on S278/S38 highways designs and drainage strategies
• Producing high-quality technical drawings and design packages
• Applying relevant design standards, including Manual for Streets, DMRB and SuDS guidance
• Using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other engineering software to develop design solutions

What We're Looking For

• HND, BEng, MEng, MSc or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering
• At least 2 years' experience within a civil engineering consultancy
• Experience in highways, drainage and infrastructure design

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, or equivalent 3D design software
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
