Job summary

Aldwych Consulting seeks a Civil Project Engineer / Senior Civil Engineer to join its Kent team. You will design and deliver civil infrastructure across development projects, coordinating with clients, contractors and statutory bodies.

The role offers an ICE-approved training agreement and support towards Chartered Engineer status, within a supportive environment and a varied portfolio across commercial, retail, residential and industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Designing development infrastructure including highways, drainage and SuDS
• Producing road designs to adoptable standards and DMRB requirements
• Preparing technical designs, calculations and supporting engineering information
• Liaising with water authorities, local highways departments and drainage authorities
• Using software such as Civil 3D, PDS, MicroDrainage, Causeway Flow and AutoCAD
• Attending design meetings, site meetings and carrying out site inspections
• Managing workload to meet project budgets, deadlines and quality standards
• Building relationships with clients and providing technical advice and guidance

Civil Project Engineer / Senior Civil Engineer

I'm working with a leading engineering consultancy looking to appoint a Civil Project Engineer / Senior Civil Engineer to join its established team in Kent.

The Role

You'll be involved in the design and delivery of civil infrastructure across a range of development projects, working closely with clients, contractors, statutory bodies and other design disciplines.

Responsibilities will include:

• Designing development infrastructure, including highways, drainage and SuDS
• Producing road designs to adoptable standards and DMRB requirements

Experience working on major civil infrastructure projects would be advantageous.

About You

We're looking to speak with Civil Engineers who have a solid grounding in consultancy-based infrastructure design and are keen to continue developing their technical and project delivery experience.

You'll ideally have:

• Around 4-8 years' relevant postgraduate experience
• A Master's degree in Civil Engineering
• Experience in civil infrastructure design within a consultancy environment
• Knowledge of highways, drainage and SuDS design
• Familiarity with relevant design software, including Civil 3D, MicroDrainage or similar
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• An interest in progressing towards Chartered Engineer status
