Job summary

Balhousie Care Group is recruiting an Assistant Chef to join a small kitchen team in Dundee. You will lead the kitchen during Head Chef shifts and ensure smooth operation, high-quality meals, and excellent resident satisfaction.

You will maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene per EHO guidance and support the team in delivering person-centered hospitality in a care setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen environment.
• Able to lead the kitchen during shifts when the Head Chef is not on duty.
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate and understanding of HACCP principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen and maintain smooth operation during Head Chef absence.
• Ensure high standards of food service and resident satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in line with regulations.
