Job summary

Balhousie Care Group in Crieff invites an experienced chef to lead the kitchen team in a care home setting. You will design menus, manage stock and budgets, and ensure meals meet residents’ nutritional needs while maintaining high hygiene standards.

The role requires reliability and proven kitchen skills, with familiarity to special dietary requirements. A PVG check and UK work authorization are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen environment is required.
• Ideally in a care home setting, but not essential.
• Able to cater for special dietary needs within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team to prepare delicious, nutritious meals for residents.
• Manage food stock, design menus and monitor budget.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with EHO.
