Job summary

Renaissance Care (Scotland) is recruiting an Assistant Chef (Bank) to support the head chef in delivering nutritious, seasonal meals for residents in a care home setting. You will help lead the kitchen team and ensure meals meet dietary requirements while maintaining high hygiene standards.

With experience in food preparation and supervision, you will work within COSHH and HACCP regulations, ensuring infection control protocols are followed and supporting a positive, inclusive kitchen

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen work and supervising staff.
• Familiarity with COSHH and HACCP regulations.
• Ability to work with large groups and plan menus.

Responsibilities

• Assist head chef and lead kitchen team to prepare healthy meals for residents.
• Check and maintain kitchen equipment, report issues.
• Uphold high hygiene standards and infection control in the kitchen.
