Job summary

Bupa is seeking an Assistant Chef / 2nd Chef at Norewood Lodge, Portishead. The role involves preparing nutritious meals for residents, respecting dietary needs, and maintaining high kitchen standards. You will help lead the kitchen team and ensure a welcoming dining experience aligned with Bupa’s quality care standards.

Qualifications

• Passion for cooking with previous experience in a fresh-food kitchen.
• Valid hygiene certificates and food-safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Create varied and nutritious menus in line with dietary needs and resident preferences.
• Propose ideas to enhance dining experience and make residents feel at home.
• Train and manage kitchen staff in prepping, cooking and serving.
• Adhere to COSHH and HACCP; manage budgets, orders and deliveries.
• Cater for events and seasonal activities as required.
