Job summary

Bupa in the United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant Chef to join our care home kitchen in Alveston. You will prepare varied, nutritious meals for residents, using fresh ingredients and tailoring dishes to dietary needs. You will also help deliver a warm, home-like dining experience for our residents.

Joining the Kitchen Team, you will train others, ensure hygiene standards and contribute to seasonal menus and special events. A passion for cooking and relevant certificates are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fresh food kitchen with high hygiene standards.
• Ability to create nutritious menus aligned with dietary needs.
• Strong communication with residents and team.

Responsibilities

• Cook using fresh ingredients to create varied, nutritious menus.
• Suggest ideas to improve dining experience for residents.
• Train and manage kitchen team in prep, cooking and serving.
• Adhere to COSHH and HACCP, manage orders and deliveries.
• Cater for events and seasonal activities as required.
