Job summary

Bupa is seeking an Assistant Chef for our care home kitchen to prepare varied, nutritious meals for residents and maintain high standards of food hygiene. You will lead the kitchen team, prepare dishes from fresh ingredients, and ensure dietary needs are met with care.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fresh food kitchen.
• Hygiene certificates required.
• High standards and passion for cooking for residents.

Responsibilities

• Create varied, nutritious menus for residents in line with dietary needs and preferences.
• Deliver an excellent dining experience and help residents feel at home.
• Train and manage the kitchen team in prepping, cooking and serving food.
• Adhere to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, budgets, and manage orders and deliveries.
• Cater for special events or seasonal activities as required.
