Octane Recruitment Ltd client, an automotive fast-fit business in Workington, is seeking an Assistant Centre Manager. You will support the Centre Manager, coordinate workshop staff, and ensure efficient workflow and high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Full clean UK driving licence, held for at least 6 months.
• Experience within a technical or mechanical working environment.
• Strong automotive product knowledge.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational and commercial awareness skills.
• Hands-on approach and willingness to support the workshop team.

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Manager with day-to-day running of the centre.
• Coordinate workshop staff and manage daily work routines for efficient workflow.
• Maintain control over stock and inventory values.
• Coach and mentor workshop mechanics to achieve customer satisfaction and business targets.
• Step into the workshop and assist technicians with mechanical issues when required.
• Support achievement of commercial sales KPIs and overall centre performance.
• Handle customer enquiries and identify opportunities to grow the business.
• Develop and support local customer accounts.
• Ensure strict workshop compliance and high operational standards.
