Octane Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Centre Manager for a fast-fit automotive centre in Swindon. You will support the Centre Manager, coordinate workshop activities, manage stock, and mentor technicians to meet service and commercial targets.

Qualifications

• Full clean UK driving licence (Essential).
• Experience in a technical or mechanical working environment.
• Strong automotive product knowledge.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational and commercial awareness.
• Hands-on approach to support workshop team when required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Manager with day-to-day running of the centre.
• Coordinate workshop staff and manage daily work routines for efficient workflow.
• Maintain strict control over stock and inventory values.
• Coach and mentor workshop mechanics to achieve customer satisfaction and targets.
• Step into the workshop to assist technicians with mechanical issues when required.
• Support achievement of commercial sales KPIs and overall centre performance.
• Handle customer enquiries and identify opportunities to grow the business.
• Develop and support local customer accounts.
• Ensure strict workshop compliance and high operational standards.
