Job summary

Chef & Cook in the United Kingdom is seeking a reliable Assistant Butcher to support the Head Butcher with day-to-day meat preparation and order fulfilment. Full training will be provided.

You will learn meat preparation, portioning, packing and general butchery operations, while keeping work areas clean and organized. 35–40 hours per week across 5–6 days; Turkish-speaking skills are an advantage.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role in a team-focused shop where accuracy and reliability matter.

Qualifications

• No formal experience required; full training provided.
• Willingness to learn all aspects of meat preparation and order fulfilment.
• Comfortable with practical, hands-on work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with trimming, portioning and preparing meat products.
• Support the Head Butcher with daily preparation and production tasks.
• Learn and follow correct procedures for handling, storing and preparing meat.
• Keep preparation and storage areas clean, organised and hygienic.
