Job summary

Holdsworth Foods is seeking a dedicated Butchery Assistant for our Halifax depot. You will assist in the butchery team, produce cuts and joints to order, and ensure accurate weighing and packaging of meat products. You will also handle deliveries and maintain correct storage temperatures.

We are looking for a Butchery Assistant to work in our Butchery team at our Halifax depot.

The working hours are 6.30am to 3.pm, Monday to Friday and 5 hours on alternate Saturdays.

Duties includes:

• To assist with the butchering of meat into required cuts and joints according to customer orders.
• To pack meats appropriately
• Weigh and record the weights as of products as required.
• To follow hygiene rules in handling of fresh meats
• Be responsible for receiving deliveries and to check delivery against orders
• Be responsible for the correct storage and that the correct temperature is maintained.
