Staffline is seeking an experienced butcher to join a busy team. You will demonstrate excellent knife skills and meat preparation knowledge while delivering high-quality products and outstanding customer service.

The role offers a 4-day week with no weekend work, working 6am–4pm. Salary ranges from £28,000 to £35,000 per year, dependent on experience, with generous holiday entitlement and staff discounts.

Job description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Butcher to join our client's busy team. The successful candidate will have excellent knife skills, a strong knowledge of meat preparation, and a commitment to delivering high-quality products and outstanding customer service.

The rate of pay is £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Your Time at Work

In this role, you will work 4 days a week, rotating day off Monday to Friday, with no weekend working. The hours of work are:

• 6am to 4pm

Key Responsibilities

• Cutting, boning, trimming, and preparing beef, lamb, pork, and poultry.
• Producing meat cuts to customer and business specifications.
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness.
• Managing stock rotation and minimising waste.
• Serving customers and providing product advice when required.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant food safety regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a butcher in a retail, wholesale, or meat processing environment.
• Strong knife handling and meat-cutting skills.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented.
• Level 2 Food Safety certificate desirable, but not essential.
