Job summary

STARK UK, through Jewson Partnership Solutions, is recruiting an Assistant Branch Manager for the Newcastle-upon-Tyne branch. You will lead daily operations, drive sales, and ensure excellent customer service while upholding high health and safety standards.

You’ll support the Branch Manager, supervise staff, manage orders, deliveries, and stock levels, and represent the branch to customers and suppliers with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Experience in a builders’ merchant, building materials supplier or similar trade is essential.
• Strong leadership to guide a busy branch and support the Branch Manager.
• Excellent communication and customer service to build relationships with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day branch operations and team performance.
• Deliver excellent customer experience, handling orders in person and over the phone.
• Oversee stock management, deliveries, and safety standards in the branch.
