Job summary

Jewson, part of Stark UK, is seeking an experienced Branch Manager for the North Shields branch. You will lead a team, grow sales and deliver excellent customer service, building strong customer relationships and improving local market share.

The role is full-time, Mon-Fri 7:30–17:00 with alternate Saturdays 08:00–12:00, and requires a proactive, hands-on leader with building materials experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the building materials industry is preferred.
• Proven experience of leading, motivating and developing a team.
• A strong sales and commercial focus, with the ability to identify and maximise opportunities to grow the business.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a genuine focus on delivering great customer service.
• Good knowledge of the local market and an understanding of customer needs within the building materials sector.
• A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support the branch team to deliver strong sales and customer service performance.
• Build strong relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions.
• Identify opportunities to grow sales by developing your understanding of the local market and customer base.
• Work closely with the wider network and suppliers to meet customer requirements and support business activity.
• Maintain high standards of stock management, including regular stock checks and accurate stock levels.
• Lead by example on Health & Safety, ensuring you and your team work safely at all times.
• Continuously look for ways to improve branch performance, customer experience and ways of working.

We are recruiting for a Branch Manager to join our thriving Jewson branch in North Shields (NE29 7XJ).

This is afull-time role working Monday-Friday7:30 –17:00, and every other Saturdayfrom08:00-12:00.
