Millennium Hotel and Conference Centre Gloucester London is seeking an Assistant Banqueting Manager to help run the day-to-day operations of the food and beverage team and liaise with other departments to deliver service excellence. You will be familiar with emergency procedures and take charge during any arising situations, while coordinating with Event Planners and supervisors.

The role involves managing function room setups, guest arrivals, staff briefing, and ensuring accurate function

Responsibilities

• Set up function rooms at least one hour before events according to banquet orders.

• Oversee waiting staff to maintain standards.
• Ensure menu briefings and function details are given to casual staff.
• Coordinate with Operations Manager and Chef on food-related changes (numbers/times).
• Report function changes to the relevant Event Planner and liaise with organiser during events.
• Remain in contact with the organiser during events and respond quickly to changes.

Millennium Hotel and Conference Centre Gloucester London is seeking a Assistant Banqueting Manager this role includes to Assist in managing the overall day to day operation of the food and beverage team as well as to liaise with other departments to ensure the delivering of service excellence at all times as directed by the Food and Beverage Manager/General Manager. To be fully conversant with all Emergency and Security Procedures in the Hotel, and take charge of any situation that may arise.

Requirements

Assistant Banqueting Manager Key Responsibilities will include:

• To assist in ensuring that function rooms are set up at least one hour before each event and according to the banquet order.
• To be present on the client’s arrival welcome and to help check what their needs are.
• To oversee, help and observe waiting staff to ensure standards are maintained at all times.
• To ensure that menu briefings and relevant function details are given to all casual staff before food service.
• Close liaison with the Operations Manager and Chef regarding all food related issues particularly changes in numbers and times.
• To ensure attention to detail relating to the functions and any changes to be reported to the relevant Event Planner.
• To remain in continuous contact with the organiser during an event and react quickly to any changes which may occur.

The Experience & Qualifications for Assistant Banqueting Manager:

• Confident individual who is adept in prioritising and managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
