Job summary

Amey is seeking an Assistant Architect to join the Advisory team in a permanent capacity near Birmingham. You will support senior architects by preparing designs, drawings and technical documentation for diverse projects, ensuring compliance with quality, cost and programme objectives.

Ideal candidates hold a RIBA Part 2 qualification with strong design software skills, and are keen on progressing towards Chartered Architect status while working across multidisciplinary teams and sites,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Architecture (RIBA Part 2).
• RIBA Part 2 completed; Associate RIBA membership preferred.
• Understanding of architectural theory, principles and CDM regulations.
• Proficiency with relevant design software and analytical tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in producing technically sound architectural solutions per client need and regs.
• Support designs, drawings, calculations and project documentation.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to scheme deliverables within quality, time and budget limits.
• Apply architectural principles and technical standards across projects.
• Participate in site visits and surveys, including site-based assignments.
• Identify, assess and communicate project hazards and risks.
• Work with ISMS and CDM regulations; support coordination across disciplines.
• Develop interfaces between disciplines and assist with office operations.
• Build relationships with colleagues, clients and professional bodies.
• Own deliverables with supervision and drive continuous improvement.
• Be open to working across accounts, offices and disciplines for development.
