Job summary

Amey Consulting is seeking a permanent Principal Architect to join our Consulting team across UK offices. You will lead multi-disciplinary design teams, guide projects through RIBA stages, and collaborate with clients and suppliers to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions.

We value safety, compliance and technical excellence; applicants should be ARB registered, RIBA chartered, with hands-on CAD/BIM skills, and experience in budgets, bids and people management.

Qualifications

• Registered as an Architect with the Architects Registration Board.

Responsibilities

• Provide multi-discipline leadership and coordination on projects through all RIBA Stages.
• Take ownership for and manage tasks from conception to completion.
• Prepare and lead designs, calculations, drawings and documentation as part of scheme deliverables.
• Ensure governance processes and technical assurance.
• Responsible for commercial success, budgets and costs.
• Compile and present regular project portfolio updates.
• Liaise with client and Amey stakeholders to achieve objectives.
• Lead preparation of bids and support the bid director.
• Foster collaboration with all account stakeholders.
• Act as people manager when required.
