Job summary

Lift Schools invites you to train as a Computing teacher through our school-based Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme, delivered in partnership with Ark Teacher Training. The Apprenticeship route lets you earn while you learn toward a PGCE and QTS, with most time spent gaining classroom experience and mentoring from experienced teachers.

You'll receive targeted training, 1-on-1 coaching, and a collaborative network across Lift Schools.

Qualifications

• Degree: 2:2 or higher; computing preferred.
• A-Level in computing (C or above) or equivalent.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or higher.

Responsibilities

• Gain practical classroom experience as an apprentice Computing teacher.
• Receive weekly mentoring and feedback from experienced teachers.
• Progress toward PGCE and QTS with structured support.
• Join training sessions alongside other Lift Schools trainees.

Education

Undergraduate degree with 2:2 or above (Computing preferred)

Strong A-Level in Computing (Grade C or above)

GCSE English & Mathematics (Grade 4/C or above)
