Job summary

Lift Schools offers a school-based Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme to train as a Computing teacher through the Salaried route, earning while you learn towards PGCE and QTS.

The programme runs for 1 year full-time, starting with Summer School in August 2027. You will gain practical classroom experience with dedicated mentoring and weekly training, supported by the Ark Teacher Training and Lift Schools networks.

Qualifications

• Degree with 2:2 or higher by the start of the programme.
• Degree in Computing (or related field) preferred; strong A-Level in Computing may be considered.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Gain practical classroom experience under guidance of experienced teachers.
• Receive 1-on-1 mentoring and in-school coaching throughout the year.
• Attend weekly training modules to develop teaching skills.
• Be part of Lift Schools' network with Ark Teacher Training for progression.

Education

Bachelor's degree 2:2 or above
