Job summary

Lift Schools’ Computing Teacher Training Programme offers a school-based ITT route where you learn in the classroom while earning a salary. Delivered in partnership with Ark Teacher Training, it lets you earn while you learn towards a PGCE and QTS.

You will participate in two-week Summer School, receive mentoring, weekly training, and nationwide support across Lift Schools networks, preparing you to become a qualified computing teacher.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computing (or related field) at the start of the programme, 2:2 or above preferred.
• Strong A-Level in Computing (Grade C or above) will be considered.
• GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade 4/C or above.
• Right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the training year.
• Must not currently hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Responsibilities

• Train in a school-based setting under guidance of mentors.
• Earn PGCE and QTS while working as a salaried trainee.
• Spend majority of time gaining practical classroom experience and building confidence.
