Job summary

Lift Schools invites aspiring Computings teachers to join its one-year, full-time Apprenticeship route. Trainees gain practical classroom experience while working toward a PGCE and QTS, supported by mentors and a dedicated tutor.

The programme blends university study with in-school practice across a nationwide network. Participants spend two weeks in Summer School (Aug 2027) and benefit from targeted weekly training, ensuring readiness for independent teaching and career progression within Lift

Qualifications

• Degree in Computing (or related field) with 2:2 or above.
• GCSEs English & Maths at grade 4/C or above.
• Right to live and work in the UK for the training year.
• Must not currently hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on teaching practice as an apprentice Computing teacher.
• Benefit from dedicated mentoring and weekly feedback in-school.
• Graduate with PGCE and QTS through the programme.

Education

Degree in Computing or related field (2:2 or above)

Strong A-Level in Computing (Grade C or above)
