Lift Tamworth invites aspiring Computing teachers to join our school-based Initial Teacher Training programme (ITT), delivered in partnership with Ark Teacher Training. The Apprenticeship route lets you earn while you learn toward a PGCE and QTS, with practical classroom experience supported by 1-on-1 mentoring.

The programme lasts 1 year full-time and includes a two-week Summer School (2–13 August 2027). Eligibility requires a 2:2 undergraduate degree (Computing preferred or strong Computing

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree with a 2:2 or above by the start of the programme, computing or related field preferred.
• Strong A-Level in Computing (Grade C or above) will be considered.
• GCSE English and Mathematics at grade 4/C or above.

Responsabilités

• Learn directly in the classroom under experienced teachers and mentors.
• Earn while you learn via the Apprenticeship route toward PGCE and QTS.
• Complete PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through the programme.
• Participate in weekly training sessions and mentoring as part of the year-long training.
