Job summary

Fairmont St Andrews is seeking a dedicated Commis Chef to join our welcoming kitchen team in a luxury 5-star setting. You will assist with dish preparation, support the section, and help maintain the high standards we are known for.

You'll learn through organised training, work in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy staff perks such as a shuttle service, complimentary canteen, dining discounts, gym and spa access, plus growth opportunities within the group.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the UK.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively and collectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of dishes in a timely fashion and to agreed standards.
• To help with and control the preparation for the section on which they are working. To work cleanly and hygienically, observing all heath and safety guidelines.
• To ensure the smooth running of the section and to see that all areas of the section maintain Fairmont St Andrews Scotland standards. To ensure that section paperwork is kept up to date, in line with legislative requirements.
• To attend organised training sessions, and ask questions to develop skills.
