Penguin Recruitment is supporting an environmental services provider in its search for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to cover Guildford and the South East. This is a long-term, permanent role with a strong basic salary and excellent earning potential through overtime.

You will join a large, established organisation delivering asbestos compliance services across diverse properties, with structured workloads and strong operational support.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402 qualification (essential).
• Experience as an Asbestos Surveyor.
• Strong knowledge of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation.
• Experience surveying a range of commercial and public sector properties.
• Independent field-based work capability.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.
• Professional, organised and reliable.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Management and Refurbishment and Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264.
• Conducting bulk asbestos sampling across a range of property types.
• Producing clear, accurate, and compliant asbestos survey reports.
• Working across a varied portfolio of commercial and public sector properties.
• Managing your own diary and field-based workload effectively.
• Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and site representatives.
• Maintaining accurate electronic records and survey documentation.
• Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation and HSE guidance.
