Job summary

Penguin Recruitment represents a well-established UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy in Birmingham. They are seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to cover management, refurbishment and demolition surveys across commercial, industrial, domestic, and public sector properties.

You will work independently with support from an operations team, ensuring compliance with HSG264 and current asbestos legislation while delivering accurate reports and maintaining high standards of client service.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402 qualification is essential.
• Experience as an Asbestos Surveyor within a UKAS-accredited consultancy is required.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264.
• Conducting bulk asbestos sampling across a variety of property types.
• Producing accurate and compliant asbestos survey reports.
• Working across commercial, industrial, domestic, and public sector properties.
• Managing your own workload and daily schedule efficiently.
• Liaising with clients, contractors and internal teams.
• Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation and HSE guidance.

THE ROLE

As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will be responsible for carrying out asbestos surveys across a wide range of client sites throughout Birmingham and the surrounding region.

Working independently and with the support of an experienced operations team, you will deliver high-quality surveying services while ensuring full compliance with current legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor within a UKAS-accredited consultancy
• Strong understanding of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation
• Full UK driving licence
