Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor for a permanent field-based role in Watford. The successful candidate will conduct management and refurbishment & demolition surveys in line with HSG264, sampling across diverse properties, and producing compliant reports.

You’ll work with a professional team, maintaining records and liaising with clients and contractors. Essential BOHS P402, strong report-writing and communication skills, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402 qualification (essential).
• Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor.
• Strong understanding of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation.
• Experience within a UKAS-accredited consultancy is desirable.
• Confident working independently in a field-based position.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264.
• Conducting bulk asbestos sampling across a variety of property types.
• Producing accurate, detailed, and compliant asbestos survey reports.
• Working across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, residential, and public sector properties.
• Managing your own diary and workload effectively.
• Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and site representatives.
• Maintaining accurate electronic survey records and documentation.
• Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and company procedures.
