Job summary

Weaver Vale Housing Trust in Northwich is hiring a RentSupport Officer - Prevention on a permanent basis. You will manage lower level arrears across a patch, working with Rent Support Officers to reduce arrears and safeguard income. Flexible working across Gadbrook Park and other locations enables home and office balance.

The role emphasizes customer-focused debt recovery, meeting targets, and a DBS check is required. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• 5 Grade GCSE 4-9 / A* - C (Maths and English) or NVQ Level 2 in a related subject (or equivalent level of qualification)
• Full UK driving licence
• Experience of negotiating with members of the public to achieve key targets for the team and organisation
• Experience of delivering excellent customer service adapted to the needs of different customers
• Experience of working to targets, deadlines and responding positively to performance feedback to achieve results
• Experience of working within a pressurised environment and the ability to continually sustain working at a fast paced level

Responsibilities

• Manage lower level arrears for our current customers on a specific patch
• Work closely with the Rent Support Officers (High Level)
• Assist in reducing arrears to protect the Trust's Income
• Support tenancy sustainment through income management initiatives
