We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager - ( South West England & Wales) to take over a well‑established region, supporting a strong existing customer base while developing new opportunities across the process industry. This is a rare opportunity to inherit a territory with long‑standing relationships, while driving growth through technical expertise and customer engagement.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage your region autonomously, planning territory activity, customer visits, and sales initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with end users, site engineers, maintenance teams, consultants, and project personnel.
- Conduct technical site surveys, understand application requirements, and recommend tailored control valve and automation solutions.
- Promote a broad portfolio of high‑performance products, including advanced valves, smart metering, diagnostics, and predictive monitoring technologies.
- Provide on‑site technical support and guidance to ensure customers receive the right solutions.
- Collaborate with internal application engineers to prepare quotations, proposals, and technical submissions.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, support forecasting, and contribute to regional growth strategies.
- Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and technical presentations.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience with control valves, steam systems, flow/pressure control, or wider process engineering equipment.
- Ability to carry out site surveys, understand process conditions, and confidently discuss engineering applications.
- Strong relationship and account management skills with engineering stakeholders.
- Self‑motivated, organised, and comfortable managing your time and territory independently.
- Technical aptitude with a willingness to learn advanced digital solutions.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the territory.
