Job summary

KMC Recruitment is partnering with an established global manufacturer to recruit an Area Sales Manager covering central England from Northampton to Leeds. You will own a large territory, manage a high degree of autonomy and drive growth across hire, construction, industrial markets.

Role focuses on building customer relationships, identifying and winning new business, and managing a diverse portfolio of power generation equipment.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in field-based B2B sales across hire, construction, industrial markets.
• Experience selling generator and power generation equipment.
• Strong ability to develop both existing accounts and new business.
• Demonstrable longevity and track record with previous employers.
• Excellent relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow existing customer accounts across the territory.
• Identify, target and win new business.
• Promote a broad portfolio of power generation equipment.
• Build relationships across hire, construction, dealer and industrial markets.
• Own regional sales and turnover targets.
• Manage negotiations and commercial proposals.
• Maintain CRM and sales reporting and pipeline.
• Forecast and analyse sales performance.
• Monitor market activity and competitor developments.
