Area Sales Manager

Within our Domestic Sales team, we are recruiting for an Area Sales Manager to develop relationships with key merchants, domestic patio & driveway installers, and relevant house builders within the area. Would you like to be a part of this award-winning team?

So what's the role?
Demonstrating your commercial drive and passion, you will have full responsibility for your sales and profitability budget. You will have ownership of implementing your own business plan, whilst working with colleagues to identify new business opportunities. Calling on your fantastic relationship management skills, you'll be collaborating with other business functions and working closely with the commercial sales team and internal sales developers to help secure new business.

Your keen eye on market trends and competitor activity will stand you in great stead as you plan your time to get the most out of your week and work closely with your Divisional Trading Manager to formulate plans. You will have the opportunity to show your initiative through establishing regular business reviews with identified merchant branches in the area. This is where you can show us how you encourage a mutually profitable working relationship through lead sharing, training and joint initiatives to increase direct to site sales and a commitment for a full range of domestic products stocked in yard. We're ready for you to challenge our expectations, showcase your entrepreneurial skills and really create a space for yourself in a hugely successful and supportive team.

What skills do you need?

  • Knowledge and experience of products to key merchants, domestic installers and relevant house builders
  • You have at least 12 months of a successful track record, including major project and account management
  • You can demonstrate your ability to develop long-term relationships with both customers and colleagues
  • You are self-motivated, dynamic, and driven
  • Confident working independently
  • Presentable, credible, and reliable
  • Being home-based you will need to have a driving license and be able to commute within the patch
