Platinum Recruitment Consultancy is seeking an Area Sales Manager to cover West Sussex and parts of East Sussex. You will drive sales of groundcare machinery, manage existing accounts and win new business, with a company car and bonus potential.

The role rewards a proven sales professional with territory development, strong relationship-building and independent field-based work. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience with a track record of winning new business.
• Strong industry knowledge in groundcare, agricultural equipment or machinery.
• Confident communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Good organisational skills and proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of sales growth across West Sussex and parts of East Sussex.
• Promote groundcare machinery and build relationships with customers.
• Generate new business through networking, prospecting and cold calls.
• Identify upselling opportunities, negotiate deals and close sales.
• Provide product advice and demonstrate equipment when required.
• Deliver excellent customer service and develop long-term partnerships.
• Plan customer visits effectively and maintain accurate sales administration.
• Work towards sales targets and contribute to business growth.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be a confident, commercially minded salesperson who understands the importance of product knowledge, customer service and building lasting relationships.

• Proven sales experience, ideally within groundcare, agricultural equipment, horticulture or machinery
• Strong industry knowledge and an understanding of equipment
• A track record of winning new business, developing accounts and achieving sales targets
• Confident communication, negotiation and influencing skills
• Good organisational skills and strong Microsoft Excel knowledge
• The ability to manage your own territory and plan customer visits
• A self‑motivated, reliable and professional approach
• A full, valid UK driving licence
