Area Sales Manager

£40,000 - £45,000 Basic+ Car + Package + Bonus + Enhanced Pension + Progression

Glasgow

We are seeking a driven and technically skilled Area Sales Manager to join our existing sales team, specialising in mechanical geared motors and power transmission solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sales professional to develop key accounts, drive revenue growth, and build long-term customer relationships in the industrial and automation sectors.

This company are a leading global manufacturer of drive technology, specializing in geared motors, frequency inverters, servo systems, and motion control solutions. The company provides high-efficiency drive systems for a wide range of industrial applications

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve targets within your designated region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, OEMs, and end-users in industries such as manufacturing, material handling, and energy.
  • Provide technical expertise on geared motors, gearboxes, and related mechanical power transmission products.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand market share.
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, customer service, and marketing) to deliver exceptional customer solutions.
  • Attend industry trade shows, networking events, and client meetings as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within geared motors, mechanical power transmission, or industrial automation or engineering sector.
  • Technical understanding of mechanical/rotating systems
  • Ability to interpret customer requirements and propose tailored solutions.
  • Self-motivated with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
