Job Description: Area Sales Manager

We are seeking a driven and technically skilled Area Sales Manager to join our existing sales team based in Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sales professional to develop key accounts, drive revenue growth, and build long-term customer relationships in the industrial and automation sectors.

Company Overview: We are a leading global manufacturer of drive technology, specializing in geared motors, frequency inverters, servo systems, and motion control solutions, providing high-efficiency drive systems for a wide range of industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve targets within your designated region.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, OEMs, and end-users in industries such as manufacturing, material handling, and energy.
3. Provide technical expertise on geared motors, gearboxes, and related mechanical power transmission products.
4. Identify new business opportunities and expand market share.
5. Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for clients.
6. Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, customer service, and marketing) to deliver exceptional customer solutions.
7. Attend industry trade shows, networking events, and client meetings as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within geared motors, mechanical power transmission, or the industrial automation or engineering sector.
• Technical understanding of mechanical/rotating systems.
• Ability to interpret customer requirements and propose tailored solutions.
• Self-motivated with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
