Role: Area Sales Manager (Service)

Contract type: Full time, permanent

Carrier now has an opportunity for an Area Sales Manager (Service) to focus on the London area.

What will I be doing?

  1. Establish prospects and develop professional relationships to understand customer needs and suggest suitable products and/or services.
  2. Engage in continuous professional development through company-provided and on-the-job training, including business, finance, marketing, sales strategies, and public speaking.
  3. Coordinate and/or participate in trade shows and marketing/sales seminars as required.
  4. Price equipment & service solutions to prospective customers to grow the business.
  5. Develop new sales within the geographical area, expanding service offerings with existing clients.
  6. Evaluate market potential and identify sales opportunities in related sectors.
  7. Estimate project opportunities and prepare proposals with contractors, FM, M&E, and building owners.
  8. Coordinate with vendors and sub-contractors.
  9. Complete sales calls/meetings to generate new business and strengthen existing relationships.
  10. Present solutions to customers and secure new contracts.

Requirements

We seek candidates who are good communicators (verbal, written, presentation), self-motivated, target-focused, with strong time management, organizational, negotiating, and strategic planning skills. Flexibility, adaptability, enthusiasm, positive outlook, teamwork, commitment to customer service, and a drive for excellence are essential.

Minimum requirements include:

  • Strong service sales background
  • Familiarity with the Chiller, HVAC, or Heat-Pump marketplace is a bonus or the ability to quickly acquire relevant knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to make calls to prospective customers, handle inquiries, and convert them into project wins and revenue
  • UK Driving Licence
  • IT literacy with MS Office skills
