Blue Triangle (Glasgow) Housing Association Limited is seeking an Area Manager to oversee operations in Oban & Inverness, ensuring safe, secure, supported accommodation for homeless people and delivering the association’s mission. The role is 35 hours per week with travel arrangements discussed at interview.

You will lead service management teams, implement policies, and work with Care Inspectorate, local authorities and partners to maintain high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Registered manager with SSSC.
• SCQF Level 9 (SVQ4) and experience leading a team.
• Knowledge of SSSC code of practice and care standards.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

Salary: £45,000 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full time (35 hours per week)

About the Role:

As Area Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational management of our services in Oban & Inverness to ensure that the Association’s strategic vision, values and mission statement is achieved and being adhered to. The post holder will report directly to and be supervised by the Head of Service Delivery. You will be responsible for providing safe, secure, supported accommodation for homeless people within your services. This role is 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with travel and expenses to be discussed at interview.

Main Responsibilities:

As Area Manager, you will:

• Ensure the effective implementation of the Association’s operational policies and procedures.
• Provide leadership and management to Service Management teams.
• Ensure that services within the Area Manager’s remit achieve Association Quality Performance standards and the Care Inspectorate Standards
• Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with Care Inspectorate, Commissioners, Local Authorities and other partner agencies.
• Contribute to the Service Development & Evaluation process in line with current legislation and good practice.

About You:

• To join us, you need to have a genuine passion for helping people.
• You will already be a registered manager with the Scottish Social Services Council, hold a minimum of SCQF Level 9 (SVQ4) and have experience of managing and motivating a team.
• Demonstrated commitment and ability to undertake care practice in accordance with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) code of practice, National Care Standards, Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care and the Associations policies and procedures.
• Ability to relate empathetically to people and recognise their right to choice and independence.
• Able to use Microsoft or equivalent applications competently.
