Job summary

Ocado Logistics is seeking an Area Manager for the Erith, Brentwood area. You will lead an operational team in a 24/7 warehouse, focusing on safety, employee engagement, and KPI delivery while maintaining high standards of housekeeping and food safety compliance.

You will manage shift patterns (12.5-hour shifts), deliver pre-shift briefings, and train staff to meet performance targets. Lifting up to 30 kg and extended standing are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or logistics management.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety practices.
• Strong communication and data interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate an operational team in a 24/7 warehouse environment.
• Drive health and safety standards and investigate adverse events.
• Manage KPIs such as labour turnover and absence%, ensuring safe, efficient operations.
• Coach and develop staff, deliver pre-shift briefings, and report area KPI metrics.
• Coordinate daily operations and support other sites as needed.
