Job summary

Ocado Logistics seeks an Area Manager to lead and motivate a frontline team, ensuring the highest health and safety standards and driving engagement across a 24/7 operation. You will manage daily operations, report on KPIs, and support tiered tasks.

Expect shift patterns and on-call duties in a dynamic warehouse environment. You will leverage strong communication and numeracy skills, work with WMS and reporting tools, and contribute to continuous improvement across Erith and other sites as

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Experience and knowledge of best practice Health & Safety ways of working.
• Strong verbal and written communication and numeracy skills, used to working with and interpreting large volumes of data.
• Experience of disciplinary & grievance investigations.
• Working knowledge of computerised warehouse management systems and core operating reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate operational teams to maintain health and safety standards.
• Drive people engagement and ensure delivery performance.
• Report on area KPI metrics and conduct pre-shift briefings.
• Undertake tiered management or personal shopper tasks when needed.
• Adapt to 24/7 shift patterns and support multiple sites as required.
