Job summary

Ocado Logistics seeks an Area Manager for the Erith site to lead and develop a frontline operational team in a 24/7 warehouse setting. You will drive health and safety, performance and employee engagement while delivering KPI targets. This role shifts day or night on a 12.5-hour schedule within a 4-on 4-off pattern.

You will ensure safety, housekeeping and compliance across operations. The ideal candidate has warehouse management experience, strong safety knowledge and excellent communication

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Experience and knowledge of best practice Health & Safety ways of working.
• Strong verbal and written communication and numeracy skills, used to working with and interpreting large volumes of data.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate teams in a time-sensitive operational environment with focus on safety and conduct.
• Promote a positive safety culture and complete detailed adverse event investigations.
• Drive training, coaching and address KPIs like labour turnover and absence %.
• Contribute to performance improvement, maintain housekeeping and food safety standards.
• Deliver pre-shift briefings and report on area KPI metrics.
