The Role

We supply research and images to various magazines, as well as independent projects by various 3rd parties. We also assist with IP and licensing queries and are responsible for the upkeep of the library and archive. We operate between the Adelphi offices and the Crown storage site in Stockwell.

We are looking for someone to assist with the day-to-day operations of the archive and library, the upkeep of the DAM, scanning images, and supplying research to other departments where needed.

Condé Nast offers one day per week WFH (Fridays) and we are looking for someone who is able to make once weekly trips to our offsite archive (Stockwell, London).

There is a strong research and data entry component to the role and a hands‑on element within our physical archive.

What will you be doing?
  • Upkeep of the archive and library (rehousing of items, tracking book returns, maintenance of collections)
  • Data entry into our DAM system
  • Undertaking directed research when required, either through digital search or handsearch
  • Proper handling, retrieval and returning of valuable and fragile materials
  • Scanning of negatives, prints and magazine layouts for digitization (we will supply training)
Who you are
  • The ideal candidate will have a fashion, photography, art history or archive related degree and some experience of working in an archive or library.
  • They will be interested in history, fashion, photography and archival practices in general.
  • They will be meticulous with a strong eye for detail.
  • They will be comfortable using basic Excel, DAM software, various digital databases, and possibly some very basic Photoshop.
  • They must be fluent in English.
