Job summary

PPG Industries in the UK is seeking a Central Specification Sales Manager to establish, maintain and grow architectural specification share across private and public sector projects within the Architect and Design community.

This office-based role covers a national portfolio and involves outbound contact with practices to develop our specification presence across the UK&I, with occasional travel to client meetings and industry events.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience selling branded products in construction/industrial environments.
• Firm understanding of Architect & Design industry and Specification marketplace.
• Strong presentation skills for one-to-one and group contexts.
• Networking and prospecting across digital and traditional channels.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate consultative selling and relationship-building to influence projects.
• Develop strategic account plans for top A&D practices and large pipelines.
• Create a sustainable pipeline by regularly using industry tools to grow opportunities.
• Develop specifications tailored to project needs to minimise substitutions.
• Identify the Decision-Making Unit and collaborate across the contractor chain.
• Collaborate to manage projects through specification stages with partners.
• Follow PPG's sales methodology and KPI-driven processes.
• Achieve weekly contact KPIs via outbound calls, CPD activities, and pipeline development.
• Provide accurate forecasting of sales volume for specifications.
• Act as an ambassador at company and corporate events and uphold PPG values.
• Provide weekly and monthly business updates to relevant teams.
• Act ethically and responsibly according to PPG policies.
