Job summary

Lampton Leisure is seeking an experienced Aquatics Manager to lead Lifeguarding teams, manage pool operations and drive safety and service standards across our West London leisure centres.

You will coordinate timetables, events, and daily operations, ensuring a high-quality customer experience while meeting health and safety requirements. Flexibility to work early mornings and evenings is essential.

Qualifications

• First Aid at Work qualification required.
• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) essential.
• Pool Plant Operator qualification desirable.
• RLSS Trainer Assessor required, but full training can be provided.
• Experience managing operations in a leisure/wet side environment essential.
• Strong H&S knowledge and ability to apply legislation in operations.

Responsibilities

• Line management responsibilities for Lifeguards.
• Ensure attendance at NPLQ CPD and maintain records.
• Deliver comprehensive aquatics programme incl. timetables and school holidays.
• Coordinate events like galas and holiday camps.
• Oversee pool timetable and daily, weekly, monthly plant operations.
• Handle H&S incidents and safeguarding with reporting.
• Provide excellent customer service and supervise maintenance.
• Drive centre KPIs including occupancy, revenue and payroll.
• Open/close site as Duty Manager and be first point of contact.
