Job summary

London Youth is seeking a Duty Manager for Woodrow High House to lead frontline service, supervise lifeguards and ensure a safe, high-quality leisure experience. You will manage rotas, training records and customer bookings while supporting pool plant operations and safety compliance.

Ideal candidates have supervisory leisure experience, strong customer-facing skills, and a commitment to safeguarding and inclusion across activities for young people and the public.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory/management role in leisure or similar.
• Customer facing experience with focus on service excellence.
• Experience with lifeguard observations and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline duty management with high-quality customer service.
• Cover lifeguard shifts and ensure rota is staffed weekly.
• Coordinate lifeguard training and maintain training records.
• Supervise leisure shop, inventory and daily reconciliation.
• Support pool plant operation and KPI checks.
• Ensure safety, incident reporting and compliance with policies.
